T-Shirt CareWhen purchasing a groovy T-shirt you do need to know how to look after it, that is why we have put this information page on our website.
There are many different types of printing technology available, but all can be treated the same for washing and ironing as below, unless the garment specifies otherwise.
Note: all our T-shirts can be washed at 40 degrees in a washing machine, but we do recommend that for the first few washes that this is done by hand and in a cool wash - washing this way is the best way for all printed T-shirts, no matter where they were purchased as it puts less strain on the garment and on the image.
Ironing: creasing may occur when drying, turn T-shirt inside and out and iron over back of the logo, or place baking (wax) paper over the image and iron. Allow to cool and peal away.
Some T-shirts can be ironed directly over the image, a label will be on the garment should this be the case. However, this only applies to a very few items.
The only T-shirts, wherever you get them from, to avoid are very thin ones such as those that are usually available at retail stores and supermarkets. Watch out for them as they are usually only a 30 degree wash - washing in a higher temperature will damge the product. |
